Become an ARC reader for “Project Radiant”
Project Radiant is the first book in a series of tech and political satire/thrillers.
In a future Britain run by algorithms, one disillusioned journalist stumbles onto a conspiracy that could shake democracy to its core. As AI systems quietly manipulate public policy, social media, and even reality itself,
Sarah Perriam is drawn into a high-stakes battle between tech billionaires, politicians, and a growing protest movement. But when the very machines meant to keep order begin to lose their grip on the truth, who can be trusted, and what will it cost to expose the puppet masters behind the data curtain?
If you would like to get your hands on an advanced eBook copy, completely free, then you just need to sign up for the team on the ARC team page.
When will this happen? Sometime in March 2026.
What is an ARC reader?
An ARC reader receives an Advance Reader Copy of a book before its official release date. This copy is typically the final or near-final version of the book, shared with one clear purpose:
To generate early buzz and reviews around launch.
ARC readers help authors kick-start momentum by reading the book early and posting honest reviews when the book releases (or shortly after). These reviews play a huge role in helping a book get noticed, especially in those crucial first days.
What ARC Readers actually do
Being an ARC reader isn’t about editing or polishing a manuscript, it’s about visibility and impact.
- Read the final or near-final version
- Focus on the reading experience
- Provide reviews, not revisions
- May notice small typos
Here’s what’s expected:
Read the Book
ARC readers commit to reading the advance copy in a reasonable time frame, usually before or around launch.
Leave an Honest Review
Reviews can be glowing, mixed, or critical – honesty is key. Authors want real reactions, not forced praise.
Post Publicly
Reviews are typically shared on platforms like:
- Amazon
- Goodreads
- BookTok
- Bookstagram
- Blogs or personal review sites
These early reviews help potential readers decide whether the book is for them.
What ARC Readers are NOT expected to do
Just as important as expectations are the boundaries.
ARC readers are not required to:
- Leave a positive review
- Praise a book they didn’t enjoy
- Act as proofreaders
- Provide deep developmental feedback
- Promote beyond what was agreed upon
A negative or mixed review is still valuable; it builds credibility and trust with readers.
Help Build Momentum
Early reviews signal to readers and the algorithms that a book is active and worth paying attention to. This can directly affect discoverability and sales.
